Award-winning, web-based digital signage system
delivers timely visual communications to targeted audiences

Beijing, China – April 21, 2011 - DT Research™, Inc., an industry leader in the development of information appliances for vertical markets, today announced a successful exhibition at InfoComm China 2011 in Beijing.

During the 3-day tradeshow, visitors experienced WebDT’s multi-screen digital signage solution, showing applications for digital menu boards, conference scheduling, and transportation information. The WebDT multi-screen (MS) signage appliances deliver high-quality (Full HD) video and optimal display experience across up to 16 screens, in dynamic layout designs with multiple zones of content for a wide variety of applications. The WebDT MS series is complemented by the WebDT Content Manager (WCM) software which provides the remote management of the signage appliance players, content scheduling and layout, and power timing,.

With the WCM software, media content can be scheduled or updated in real-time, captured from a database system, txt files, or XML. There is also support for live video-in from a TV, camcorder, DVD player, and web cam. For messages that are time-sensitive, the originally scheduled content can be interrupted with a quickly inserted Urgent Cast announcement, or a Spot List tool can insert a new playlist for a special event or promotional activity.

Following the successful deployment at the Beijing International Airport, the WebDT signage solutions have been adapted in over 30 city airports and more than 20 train stations in China. Shanghai’s famous Nanjing Road sidewalk, People’s Square subway station, and the 2010 World Expo – are just a handful of projects benefiting from WebDT’s powerful signage system, delivering real-time information updates, dynamic advertising and high quality entertainment. In February 2011, the WebDT signage solution was awarded the Digital Signage Expo (DSE US) APEX award for its outstanding installation in the Amway Brand Center in Malaysia that delivers interactive digital signage for an engaging retail experience.

MS200 Powers Multiple Digital Signs with Compelling Communications

Multi Screen Appliance for Efficient and Effective Digital Signage
Digital Signage Expo – Las Vegas, NV - February 23, 2011 - DT Research™, Inc., an industry leader in the development of information appliances for vertical markets, today announced a new signage appliance for powering two screens with digital content, the MS200.

The WebDT MS200 Multi Screen Appliance powers multiple screens for digital signage applications. Featuring the powerful and energy-efficient Intel® Core™ processor, the MS200 includes the latest graphics technology with two outputs for high-quality video and optimal display experience. Combined with the industry-leading WebDT Content Manager software, one MS200 is capable of driving dynamic content on 2 screens, while communicating with the server for continuous updates. These screens can be configured into one video wall or they can be spread out to serve separate areas, with the MS200 delivering up to 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution to each screen. A display can be divided into up to 16 zones of media, for dynamic messages, and the MS200 offers content flexibility for image, flash and multimedia file formats stretched across multiple screens or played on a single screen.

The WebDT MS200 is complemented by the WebDT Content Manager (WCM) software, providing the remote management of the MS player, content scheduling and layout, and power timing. WCM has a browser-based interface, allowing users to create and manage content from any PC or browser-enabled device on the network or Internet. WCM provides the flexibility to display a wide range of visual communications, including text, graphics, media files, power point presentations, data feeds, and ticker feeds. The Multiple Screen Layout tool enables the creation of the exact placement of a window or zone of content, so that a zone can be tiled across screens, zones can overlay other zones, and zones can also be stretched across multiple displays. WCM supports up to 16 content zones, and each zone can run a different type of media.

With WCM software, content can be scheduled or updated in real-time, captured from a database system, txt files, or XML.

The WebDT MS200 along with the WCM software offers a powerful digital signage system ready to deliver timely visual communications to targeted audiences. With remote management and a comprehensive yet intuitive interface, the WebDT signage system minimizes maintenance costs while maximizing efficient operations for digital signage networks.
